Ruth's Chris Chief Executive Named Operator of the Year


Heathrow, Fla., October 4, 2007 -- Ruth's Chris Steak House (NASDAQ: RUTH) today announced that Craig S. Miller, chairman, president and chief executive was named Operator of the Year by Nation's Restaurant News. The announcement was made at the gala awards banquet concluding the Multi-Unit Foodservice Operators conference in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 2nd. Earlier this year, Miller was the recipient of a 2007 Golden Chain award for his vision, leadership and dedication to the foodservice industry.

"It is an incredible honor to be named Operator of the Year," Miller commented. "I owe tremendous thanks to the entire Ruth's Chris team, who continues to carry out the legacy of our founder, Ruth Fertel, on a daily basis. Miller was selected by the readers of Nation's Restaurant News from among the six Golden Chain award winners, chosen by the newspaper's editors. Along with Miller, this year's Golden Chain honorees were Paul Clayton, chief executive of Jamba Juice; Gerard T. Gabrys, president and chief executive of Guest Services Inc.; Linda A. Lang, chairman and chief executive of Jack in the Box Inc.; Zach McLeroy, chief executive and chairman of Zaxby's Chicken Restaurants; and Nick Vojnovic, president of Beef 'O' Brady's.

Miller is a veteran restaurant industry executive with over 40 years of experience, including serving as president and chief executive for Uno Restaurant Corporation. He is also actively involved in the National Restaurant Association (NRA) and recently served a one-year term as chairman.
